Born and raised in Brazil, Daniel played two years for Corinthians FC’s under 16 soccer team. Daniel then joined the American School of Brasilia where he received five Most Valuable Player and two Athlete of the Year awards. With these accomplishments, Daniel caught the attention of Coach Roberto dos Santos, former professional player and current coach for the Cowley College Tigers. Daniel joined the Tigers in 2010 where he played as starting defensive midfielder. Daniel’s skills combine the agility of futsal (indoor) and the endurance of soccer. He specializes in free kicks, moving the ball quickly and playing smart. Having played the game for more than twelve years, Daniel applies what he learned with professional coaches and trainers. Passionate, patient and competent, Daniel strives to share both his love for the game as well as his skill set.
